Description
A handmade Goldfinch brooch, inspired by the distinctive markings and warm colours of this much-loved British garden bird.
Each piece is carefully needle felted using wool roving and a single needle, then finished with my signature metal zip edging. This creates a crisp outline, gentle structure and a subtle glint in the light, while keeping the brooch soft and tactile.
Delicate hand embroidery adds detail and texture to the design, bringing the character of the goldfinch to life. A group of goldfinches is traditionally known as a “charm”, a wonderfully fitting name inspired by their colourful appearance and cheerful, chattering calls.
Soft and tactile yet strong in structure, this brooch is lightweight and easy to wear on coats, jackets, knitwear or bags.

Each piece is handmade in my Cheshire studio and packaged on a presentation card, making every brooch one of a kind.
