About Nicky

I studied textile design with a focus on colour theory, and for over 30 years I’ve been drawn to texture and the way colours work together. Much of my inspiration comes from the outdoors – from my own garden to walks in the hills – where natural shapes and forms spark new ideas.

I make felted wool brooches and small pieces by hand, using traditional needle felting techniques. Each piece is finished with metal zip edging, adding structure and a glint of contrast to the soft wool.

My work is stocked in a small number of independent shops, including National Trust Tatton Park in Cheshire, and selected stores in the UK and the USA.
